BMW Enhances May Programs

By Ty Whiting, May 21, 2009 11:58 pm

BMW is getting reports revealing sales are increasing nationally. BMW, however, is not content and wants to increase sales even more. With the following enhancements, BMW should have no problem doing just that.

  • Lease Cash- On select models, with what was originally "Loyalty" cash is now available to ALL customers. Up to $1,750 off!
  • 7 Series Lease Rate Reduction- BMW FS is now offering an extraordinary lease rate of .00090 to ALL prospects! Originally this special rate was available only to current BMW FS lessees.
  • 2009 5 Series Support-At the start of June, 2009 5 Series vehicles will not have as much support from BMW programs as there is during May. If you’re working on a 5 Series deal and it’s a 2009 model, close the deal in May! Otherwise, you will lose out on better incentives.

How does Obama’s Proposal on National Fuel & Green House Gas Regulations Effect Classic Auto Group’s Brands?

By Ty Whiting, May 19, 2009 10:54 pm

[SinglePic not found]President Obama’s administration announced the EPA & NHTSA will work together to regulate national standards for fuel efficiency and emissions.  It’s a step in the right direction for our delicate environment.  It’s good news for consumers who are frustrated with our dependency on foreign fossil fuels.  So, what does that mean to automakers? How will they take to the challenge?

BMW supports the Obama Administration’s plans by using the German automaker’s "Efficient Dynamics" program.  Since 2007, the BMW Group has used Efficient Dynamics to design vehicles that are more fuel efficient, have lower emissions, and cut down on fossil fuel usage.  The Advanced Diesel vehicles released by BMW are an example of them achieving these goals while increasing the performance levels to be at the levels BMW owners expect.

The new proposal is a challenge BMW welcomes.  They believe in it and will work hard to exceed its standards.  For more info regarding the Advanced Diesel & Advanced Hybrids coming from BMW, feel free to contact us at DriveClassicBMW.com or 440-585-9990.

BMW’s All-New Z4 Continues Alternative Marketing Strategy

By Ty Whiting, May 8, 2009 10:24 pm

[SinglePic not found]BMW  collaborates with artist Robin Rhode and continues thinking "outside the box" marketing the all-new Z4 Roadster.  Rhode takes the Z4 for a spin on a canvas about the size of a football field and uses the vehicle as the paintbrush!  The "Expression of Joy" is BMW’s marketing campaign that includes a host of different media to introduce the new roadster from BMW.  Using  a 30 minute documentary on Discovery HD Theater (May 10th), a homepage takeover of msn.com (May 11th), and a 8-page insert in Vanity Fair’s June issue, BMW hopes to appeal to a variety of potential customers.  After the initial showing on Discovery HD Theater, the program will be replayed throughout May & June plus TiVo users will see previews and can record the show.  Using different news, business, and lifestyle web sites, BMW will show video banners to promote the new Z4.

This is NOT the 1st time BMW used alternatives to conventional advertising.  The Z3 was in the movie "Golden Eye" in 1995 and was a large influence on product placement for years to come.  When the Z4 came out, BMW commissioned mulitple directors to make "BMW Films."  A series of short films with a BMW vehicle in each film and usually playing an important role.  The Z4 appeared in "The Hire" .

Classic BMW, in Willoughby Hills Ohio, has two 2009 BMW Z4’s in stock, with more on the way, and available for immediate delivery and/or test drives.  Click here to get more info on them.  Classic BMW also has a piece of the orignal canvas on display in the main showroom.  Stop by and see it.

BMW Group continues to see 2009 as year of transition

By Ty Whiting, May 7, 2009 9:54 am

[SinglePic not found]The BMW group just posted a press release that is a kind of state of the union statement.  The BMW Group continues to see the current year as one of transition. They feel it’s difficult to predict how the global economy will ride out and they are not comfortable giving their earnings forecasts for 2009. They believe BMW’s sales volume will continue to shrink but are confident their "premium segment" market share will continue to increase.

Get ready for the new product!  With the release of the all-new 7, Z4, X5 & X6 M’s and 5 Series GT models this year and the all-new 5 & 6 Series, X6 Hybrid, all-new X3 next year, BMW feels they are in a strong position for the remainder of this year.  As well as carry through 2012.

It seems as though BMW taking an aggressive approach to the global economic crisis.  With lessons learned from the weak US dollar and strong Euro conversion rates from 2007, they continue to put themselves in the driver’s seat for the next three years.

Classic BMW & BMW European Delivery expert Teri Blakeley announce BMWEuroDelivery.com

By Cliff Murphy, April 20, 2009 4:59 pm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 20, 2009 – Classic BMW & BMW European Delivery expert Teri Blakeley announce www.BMWEuroDelivery.com

Willoughby Hills Ohio based Classic BMW (http://www.DriveClassicBMW.com) has teamed with BMW European Delivery & BMW Performance Center Delivery expert Teri Blakeley to build the resourceful website bmweurodelivery.com. (http://www.BMWEuroDelivery.com)

Commenting about the website, Blakeley pointed out that it’s an entirely new way to connect with an expert regarding European Delivery.  “BMWEuroDelivery.com was designed to be an interactive website that encourages BMW enthusiasts to share their experiences with the BMW European Delivery program.”  She goes on to say “If at any point someone has a question or needs pricing, I am only a click or call away.”

Teri believes that many people stray away from the program because it’s simply never mentioned during the purchase process at so many BMW centers, and that sentiment is echoed by Jim Brown Jr., General Manager at Classic BMW.  “There’s an underlying thought that taking delivery of your new BMW at the Welt Center takes a lot of time to plan, but Teri simply gets your preferred travel dates, and she takes care of everything.”

Teri has been involved with BMW’s European Delivery Program for almost 5 years, and has a large number of customers that have made the choice of taking delivery in Europe.  She can be reached at (440) 585-9835 or by email at:  teri@bmweurodelivery.com

BMW to release 7 new models in 2009!

By Ty Whiting, April 13, 2009 6:54 pm

bmw_emblem1While many automakers are taking a conservative approach to the current global recession and decided to delay the release of new models or cancel them all-together, BMW is moving full-steam-ahead!

According to our friends at BMWBLOG.com, BMW is poised to release 7 models this year!  We must stress this is NOT an official press release from BMW NA.  BMWBLOG, however, did some digging when they were at the 2009 New York Auto Show and have come up with what they feel is a very reliable list of Bimmers to be launched in 2009.  Here are the vehicles they confirmed will will be in showrooms by the end of 2009:

  1. BMW 5 Series Gran Tourismo
  2. BMW 7 Series 760Li
  3. BMW 7 Series Hybrid
  4. BMW Z4 Roadster
  5. BMW X5 M
  6. BMW X6 M
  7. BMW X6 Hybrid

In May, the Z4 Roadster will be released as a “hard-top” roadster with no plans of a fixed-top coupe.  This fall, our showroom will see the arrival of the remaining models.  If BMWBLOG.com is right, BMW will be giving prospective buyers 7 more reasons to visit our Willoughby Hills showroom this year.  Their article goes on to discuss the vehicles they believe to be launched in 2010 as well.  You can read the full article here.

BMW Continues to Go “Green” with Bold Brochure Plan

By Ty Whiting, March 27, 2009 11:11 pm

BMW is a company that has systems in place to be more efficient, cut down waste, and make cars that do the same. They have a program, “efficient dynamics”, in which vehicles use diesel fuel, hydrogen cells, and hybrid technology to advantage of low-emissions and get better fuel efficiency. They even use methane gases from the city of Spartanburg to help power their manufacturing plant.

BMW recently announced they will continue being an eco-friendly company by making a bold move that effects customers in their showrooms. Their plan is to eliminate printing brochures for individual models and replace them with full-line brochures.

Printing full-line brochures will cut down on waste. They anticipate reducing the production of 1.6 million brochures per year, saving over 20,000 trees, and preserving over 100 acres of forest.

Consumers will be able to view individual brochures at BMWusa.com, if they wish.
